Making a guitar is an art requiring true craftsmanship. From the selection of the wood to the designing, fit, and finish, each step is an intricate dance of form and function. Both the beauty of the craftsmanship and the sound of the instrument must come together to bring the guitar to the full wonder of its design.
I have worked with wood for most of my life but found my passion in making guitars that resonate with the musician. The design and execution of each instrument is accomplished with the musical artist in mind.
My son was apprenticed to a guitar maker in Germany and learned the art there. When he returned he mentored me. There are many steps to making a fine acoustic guitar, each with its own challenges. To be able to be mentored in such an artistic medium has been a thrill of my life. It has been like finding the destiny I was born to fulfill.
